CCA Bike Battery for Touring Bikes
Having a bike is all fun unless you encounter a problem. Although everything comes with some pros and cons, not all of the problems are of real concern for bikes. Imagine going on a long ride and losing power out of nowhere. That could happen due to number of reasons, but the effect would be the rider stranded in the middle without power. Such kind of challenges is often encountered by bikers who ride touring bikes. Touring bikes are more equipped compare to an ordinary bike. Those who like to take a long tour on bike, they have to keep the bike maintained and route ready!
Riding the bike in a city and riding it on a highway or long tour is way different. If you’re stranded in a city, you might find someone nearby to fix your bike. However, that is not the case for those riding on long tours. One of the most important things for people using touring bikes or going on tours must have their electrical system working healthy and uninterruptable.
Battery plays a substantial role in keeping the power up all the time. While you ride, you may have to use an electrical pump to maintain air pressure or keep the smartphone charged. Therefore, before leaving for a long tour, replace your bike battery with high CCA (Cold Cranking Ampere). Replacing the battery with high CCA would help you for cold starts and you won’t have to hassle to crank up the engine. Having a high CCA bike also means that the bike’s battery internal resistance is low with a high depth of discharge. Be mindful of making the right choice as this lasts for years.
